With the help of OEC's Graphics Department, the "Holidays on Display" exhibit added a magical feeling to the National Museum of American History. We hand-painted a beckoning entryway modeled after a department store window and reproduced catalogue pages for a flipbook. Our photo murals made visitors feel like they were peeking into a department store window or sitting front row at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Images and text become display-ready in the Graphics Department. We produce and install murals, text panels, object labels, vinyl lettering, and other 2-D elements.

While we are masters of traditional techniques such as hand lettering and archival matting and framing, we also operate state-of-the-art equipment, including plotters, laminators, and flatbed scanners. And our large-format solvent and inkjet printers allow us to print on a wide range of materials such as paper, fabric, vinyl, and frosted acrylic—fit for both indoor and outdoor settings.

Protection and preservation matter to us, and we take special care to use damage-free techniques and materials. We handle artwork delicately, laminate graphics with finishes ranging from matte to gloss, and install displays ourselves. And after a traveling show has been on the road for a while, we bring it back to the shop to repair any damages. We make sure our work is not only beautifully executed, but that an exhibit continues to remain show-worthy.
